Splash out on a boat book
While Shipping Correspondent at the Liverpool Daily Post & Echo I compiled and wrote a series of bookazines about the golden era of the Mersey maritime scene drawing on its fabulous picture archive, plus some images submitted by readers with their permission.
Most of these pictures were taken by the newspapers’ highly skilled photographers and have not been seen for decades – if not half a century or more – and then only seen once in the sooty newsprint of the day. They well deserve to be out there in the public realm.
